The Band Director
 Rick Kirkpatrick is a singer/songwriter, performer, and music teacher for over 35 years.
As someone who started playing guitar in junior high school, he felt it was important to offer young musicians the guidance and opportunity that wasn't available to him. Remember, George Harrison was playing with The Beatles when he was 15 years old.
While working with junior high students at The Nevada City School of the Arts, helping to assemble performing bands, Rick was impressed by the level of talent these young musicians had. Having been on the Board of Directors at The Center for the Arts, Rick felt the Center would be the perfect place for 'the13' program he envisioned.
